Sindh Prison Act 2019

The Sindh Prison Act 2019 app is an official reference application developed for Sindh Prisons & Corrections Service (SPCS), Government of Sindh. It provides offline access to the Sindh Prisons Act 2019, Rules 2019, Dietary Regulations, Schedules, and Affirmation Roll.

This app does not collect any personal information. The following data is never collected:

• Personal identification (name, CNIC, email, phone number)
• Device identifiers or hardware information
• Location data or GPS coordinates
• Usage analytics or behavior tracking
• Search queries or browsing history
• Camera, microphone, or contacts access
• Financial or payment information
• Any data transmitted to external servers

The following data is stored only on your device using Android SharedPreferences and is never transmitted anywhere:

• Bookmarked rules and Act chapters (stored as rule IDs)
• Highlighted rules with color preferences
• Dark mode preference (on/off)
• Font size preference
• App settings and display preferences

You can clear all locally stored data at any time by clearing the app data from your Android device's Settings → Apps → Sindh Prison Act 2019 → Clear Data.

This app operates 100% offline. No internet connection is required or used during normal operation.

The only permissions this app may request are:

• Storage permission — Only to save exported PDF files to your device's Downloads folder
• No other permissions are requested or required

When sharing content via WhatsApp or exporting PDFs, the app uses Android's built-in sharing mechanism. No data is sent to our servers.

This app does not use any third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or external APIs.

• No advertisements or ad networks
• No crash reporting to external servers
• No cloud sync or backup services

The app uses the following open-source Flutter packages purely for local functionality: PDF generation (printing), file sharing (share_plus), and local storage (shared_preferences). None of these transmit data externally.

This application is intended for use by Sindh Prisons & Corrections Service staff and legal professionals. It is not directed at children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected by this app, there are no special provisions required for children's data protection beyond our standard policy of collecting no data whatsoever.

Since this app does not collect or transmit any personal data, there is minimal security risk. All preferences and bookmarks stored locally on your device are protected by Android's built-in app sandboxing security.

The legal content (rules, regulations, act chapters) bundled with the app is official public-domain government material from the Government of Sindh Gazette.

We may update this Privacy Policy if the app's functionality changes. Any updates will be reflected in the app's Play Store listing and in the updated date shown at the top of this page.

Continued use of the application after changes to this policy constitutes acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage users to review this policy periodically.
